PARISH SCHEDULE DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

TO ALL NIIGATA CHURCH PARISHIONERS

As the coronavirus infection continues, Archbishop Kikuchi has directed that from April 1, as a rule Holy Masses of more than 20 people are not allowed. Also, Holy Week services, beginning with Palm Sunday and including the Chrism Mass and Easter Sunday services for the public are cancelled.
In view of these directives, and after consultation with the Parish Council, it was decided to do the following:

For Palm Sunday – Blessed palms will be available. Those who wish may take it at the church entrance.

Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Stations of the Cross, Easter Vigil, and Easter Sunday services will only be done by the priests and designated servers.

With the continued cancellation of public masses, once again we urge everyone to continue reading their bibles and to offer prayers. If possible, please join the celebration of the Holy Eucharist hosted by the Tokyo Archdiocese on the internet and avail of spiritual communion. Private adoration in the church is possible. Please use the hand sanitizer at the entrance. Weddings and funerals can be held observing proper care and precautions.
